What are you training for ? Life my friend…Life.

I always get asked-what are you training for? What are your fitness goals?
And as great as it can be to have these. For me, fitness is a lifelong journey. Not a short episode that comes and goes. Yes of course, there may be times that I want to work on being faster, fitter or stronger. But currently my life is so damn hectic, I just want to continue to maintain my sanity and health through fitness.
Fancy a run today…ok.
Fancy lifting weights today…ok.
Fancy doing sod all today and plan for something tomorrow…ok.
Don’t feel pressured to have to push yourself to the limits every single day in the gym. If you don’t fancy the gym-think what do you fancy today? A swim? Horse riding? Walking? Dancing? Boxing?
Unless you are a professional athlete and this is your career, what’s completely wonderful about exercise is that there is something for everyone. It can be 15 minutes or 1 hour.
As long as you do something relatively regularly-your body and mind will thank you for it. There is so much pressure for everything out there. Don’t let fitness be another thing to add to the list. It’s supposed to be an escape for your wellbeing.
