Even those that think they have escaped sedentary living by busting it out in the gym an hour after a full day at their desk may be mistaken.

Sitting for significant periods of the day increases your risk for diabetes, deep vein thrombosis, raised blood pressure and cholesterol.

So get up every 30-60 mins (you don’t have to do the silly run.) walk around the office, go outside for some fresh air or just get up to grab some water. Simply stretching your legs and moving your limbs can cut your risk.

Tell your boss you need the break for the health and wealth of the company.
